My Top 5 Universities

As one of our Summer tasks we were asked to decide our top 5 University choices once we had visited the D&AD to see more options.
I have chosen my top 5 which are all outstanding Universities. I chose these because of the standard of work and the reviews on them from previous students. They all also have excellent progression options for afterward and opportunities for experience and work throughout.

First Choice - Central Saint Martins College of Arts London
(BA Honour in Graphic Design)

Second Choice - UCA Epsom
(BA Honour in Graphic Design)

Third Choice - Chelsea School of Arts, London
(BA Honour in Graphic Design Communication)

Fourth choice - Brighton University
(BA Honour in Graphic Design)

Fifth Choice - Falmouth University of Arts
(BA Honour in Graphic Design)

illustration time

This morning I spent time creating my visual sketchbook cover by drawing out a template of the book it was for and looking through the design books for inspiration. Below is the process in stages, this was my 3rd attempt with the design but was worth it...

Type and pattern down the side

Started the linked swirl pattern with inspiration from the hair on illustration of girls 'illustrators in&out book'

Added more in - this tested my patience

Completed the front side

Started the back - vines inspired from the front cover designs of 'sketchbooks'

Finished the back side

Layout of all 3 sides completed

Stuck on

View of it standing

So happy - bought a hardback book from a charity shop and covered it with artwork to make it personal to me. Pleased with the outcome! Visual sketchbook is now covered and ready to go for the summer.
